Time stopped, bodies held down by impermanence, moved by the ebb and flow of the temporal void. Grief Ritual utilises natural materials (rose hips and opium poppy seed pods strung together) subject to decay and artifacts of a loved one (hair and pearls) to honour the dynamic process of mourning. This photograph is documentation of the performative action of achieve connection to the signifiers of grief in turn becoming closer to the center of the loss and lost.
